About KSC Direct!

How to Participate

How do I activate the Real Player video stream to view KSC Direct!?
The "Live Web Broadcast" button opens the Real Player window. If the Real Player window is activated before our web broadcast begins, a video will play that gives updated information about our next program. When our programming begins, the video stream plays in real-time, rather than starting at the beginning of the broadcast. Like watching television, if you turn it on after the program has begun, you will see only the remainder of the program.

How do I submit an e-mail question?
Select the "Submit Question" button and complete the form with your first name, city, e-mail address and question. (Note: we need the e-mail address in order to contact prizewinners for their mailing address.) Then select the "Submit" button to forward your question to us.

What happens to my question after it is submitted?
After you submit your question, you will be returned to the main page. Meanwhile, your question will be sorted with other incoming questions and put into one of the categories (such as Shuttle, ISS, Hubble, etc.) that are determined by the KSC Direct! producers at the beginning of each program. A moderator will review each question and may edit it if there are grammar or other issues. Appropriate questions will then be released and be visible to the public in the active KSC Direct! Question Board. The submitter's first name and city will also be shown.

Note: Some questions may not be chosen because of time limitations or because they are similar to other questions submitted. We will make every effort to include as many questions as possible during each broadcast.

How can I tell when KSC Direct! is accepting questions?
The KSC Direct! question submission form will only appear while we are accepting questions.

How many questions may I submit?
There is no limit to the number of questions you may submit. However, you must complete the form each time you wish to submit a question.
